According to ESPN's Adam Schefter and NFL Network's Ian Rapoport, the Miami Dolphins have requested and received permission to interview both Tennessee Titans V.P. of player personnel Lake Dawson and Browns assistant GM Ray Farmer.

Coach Sparano announced on Wednesday that Chad Pennington would replace Chad Henne as the team’s starting quarterback when the team takes the field this Sunday at Sun Life Stadium against the Tennessee Titans.

Immediately, the word that kept being used most often to describe what the team was hoping to accomplish with the change was “spark”.  The QB change is no doubt hoping to ignite the offense into scoring more points.

The Tennessee Titans come into Sun Life Stadium this Sunday sporting a 5-3 record and bring in an offense that has added wide receiver Randy Moss into the mix.

The veteran wide-out, who has 10 touchdown receptions in 10 games against the Dolphins, will make his Titans debut needing just 4 catches to pass former Buffalo Bill Andre Reed for the 8th most receptions in NFL history with 952.

The Dolphins kickoff the second half of the 2010 season this Sunday at Sun Life Stadium against the Tennessee Titans looking to string some victories together and make a push towards the playoffs.

They’ll be facing a Titans team that is a plus-6 in the turnover ratio, producing points off of the AFC’s best 13 interceptions they’ve reeled in so far this season.

Dolphins defensive lineman Randy Starks will be seeing some familiar faces across the line of scrimmage this Sunday when the team hosts the Tennessee Titans at Sun Life Stadium.

Starks spent his first 4-seasons in the NFL with the Titans after being drafted by Tennessee in the 3rd round back in 2004.

I caught up with Randy to talk about facing his former team this Sunday.

Coach Sparano did not start his daily press conference with a question from the media, but rather with a statement.  He announced that Chad Pennington would be the team’s starting quarterback moving forward.

Despite the fact that quarterback Chad Henne has thrown for close to 2,000 yards after eight games, the offense has put the ball in the end zone just 12 times, only Carolina has fewer with 8.

The Dolphins dropped to 4-4 at the midway point of the season after a 26 to 10 loss at Baltimore that snapped their 4-game road winning streak.

The Dolphins defense yielded 402 yards of offense to the Ravens on 71 plays.  Plus, Baltimore held onto the ball by a 16-minute margin over the Dolphins. Those numbers are tough to overcome, and that proved to be the case on Sunday.

The 2-2 Dolphins travel to Green Bay for a Sunday 1pm matchup against the 3-2 Packers hoping to regain the winning form they were able to capture in the first two weeks of the season.

The Dolphins will be facing a Packers defense whose 21 sacks are one fewer than the 22 owned by the league-leading Tennessee Titans.  Green Bay linebacker Clay Matthews leads the way with 8.5 of the sacks, but he is battling a hamstring injury that may keep him out of the game.
