The team announced on Wednesday that it met with former Titans fullback Ahmard Hall, who has spent his entire six-year career in Tennessee. According to The Palm Beach Post’s Ben Volin, they also visited with Jeff Link, a free agent fullback from the 2011 draft class.
The running back position is an interesting one. While the value of the franchise quarterback has increased exponentially in recent years, we’ve seen a bit of a shift as far as RB value goes. The term “dime a dozen” gets used a lot when discussing the guys that smash head-first into the trenches 20+ times a game. With so much emphasis on the passing game, teams are less and less likely to use high draft picks or big money on a RB, though there are some exceptions.
It’s Thanksgiving and in my house that means there will be plenty of turkey and lots of football games to analyze! Obviously the one game that we’re most concerned with is the match-up at 4:15 between the Miami Dolphins (3-7) and the Dallas Cowboys (6-4). The Dolphins come into the contest riding a three-game winning streak and playing their best football of the season following last week’s win over the Buffalo Bills 35-8.
The Dolphins running back and special teams standout sits down in studio with the crew to talk about his big punt block recovery in the end zone for a touchdown in Sunday’s game. Also, make sure to listen for Lex’s insight on the mentality inside the Dolphins locker room after the team’s 3rd straight win.

My advice after Sunday’s big win against the Buffalo Bills (5-5) is to smile and enjoy the ride! It’s been a long time since the Miami Dolphins (3-7) have won back to back games inside of Sun Life Stadium, and the fans of the Dolphins should be allowed to feel down-right giddy about the three game winning streak. The same can’t be said for the players and coaches who may have enjoyed the win, possibly through Sunday night, but now are hard at work to preparing for their Thanksgiving Day match-up with the Dallas Cowboys.
The Dolphins (3-7) won their third consecutive game today, defeating the Buffalo Bills (5-5) 35-8 at Sun Life Stadium. The win made the Fins the first team ever to go from 0-7 to 3-7 and just the third team in NFL history to start off at least 0-7 and then have a three-game winning streak (1978 Cardinals & 1986 Colts).
Miami dominated from the start and had a 28-6 halftime lead–their largest through two quarters since Week 1 of 2002 and never even thought about looking back.
I can only imagine how frustrating it must feel for the players, coaches and fans of the Miami Dolphins on the day after’s this season. This one hurt a little bit more because it was against an AFC East rival in the New York Jets! The Dolphins played the first quarter and a half like a team that was going to shed the mistakes that has been plaguing both sides of the football.
To say that the last four weeks have been frustrating is a gross understatement! The Miami Dolphins have been in position to win football games multiple times, but haven’t made the game-changing play to overcome the dropped pass, the blown coverage or the missed assignment! Sitting at 0-4 in the AFC East looking up at the New England Patriots (3-1), Buffalo Bills (3-1) and New York Jets (2-2) is not where this team envisioned itself going into the bye week.
