The Miami Dolphins won in front of their home fans for the first time this season today, defeating the Tennessee Titans 29-17.
It was a game of transition for the Fins, as they saw new starting quarterback Chad Pennington last just two plays before injuring his shoulder, and then old starting quarterback Chad Henne get knocked out of the game late in the third quarter.
The Miami Dolphins look for their first home win of the 2010 season as they welcome the Tennessee Titans to Sun Life Stadium. This is the 32nd all-time meeting between these two franchises and the 9th since the Titans moved from Houston to Tennessee. Last season, the Fins dropped a 27-24 decision in overtime to the Titans in Nashville, but have won two of the last three meetings between the teams.
For the final time before Sunday’s game against the Titans, Dolphins coach Tony Sparano met with the media and spoke about several key issues that will be facing the team on Sunday, including Round 2 between Vontae Davis and Randy Moss. Sparano said that he expects that the Titans will line Moss up in some different places on the field, something that New England did not do in their Monday night meeting with the Fins.
