Dick Stockton Joins The Finsiders, 1/13/12
By on January 13, 2012 at 9:17 pm

The FOX broadcaster calls in to the show to give his strong opinion on the Dolphins coaching situation. Don’t miss Stockton’s “chain of command” theory and his thoughts regarding how a coach and general manager should work with each other.

GREAT WORDS FROM DICK STOCKTON! This is why many die hard fans changed views after Tony Sparano was fired! It was assumed that if Tony went, a new guy would come in and replace Irland. Thats not how it works or should work. Most fans calling for tonys head did not realize that, and are now learning maybe they were calling for the wrong mans head! More so now, that Fisher took the Rams job, and are seeing that Irland is going to stay, and was puppeting Sparano to Ross all along. The jets organization knew it and gave him a job with a huge smile on their face. Its the wizard of Oz….”dont look at the man behind the curtain” For some reason Ross is sticking with Irland. Irland has convinced Ross he can do better telling someone else what to do. Hate to be a downer, But I dont think the best Coaches will want that, and we will get a less talented Head coach. Sparano took a 1-15 to 11-5. He has not had a healthy team, the same team, or a year long starting QB since. Hes had a new OC scheme this year, new key player, and trusted in Nolan, and the trainers( like Irland told him, work on the o-line I gave you, and new scheme) to have that defence ready to go week one, not week 8. Very sad to see Tony in a no win situation, take the blame, again after all the back stabbing that went on last off season.
