I am 54 years old, and I’ve been watching NFL fervently since the age of 9. Which, of course, means I’ve watched you with the Cardinals, and your teammates Roger Wherli, and Dobler, and Jim Hart, and all the rest. Great bunch, those Cardiac Cards. Growing up in Miami, I’ve always been a dyed-in-the-wool Dolphin fan. I don’t have to tell you what a great man Jim Mandich was. I got to meet him once, and he treated me like he had known me all my life.
I want to make sure YOU knew that he spoke so highly of you, and with good reason–you are the consummate professional, as Jim was, and your talent and skill as a commentator is unparalleled (except, perhaps by one guy who wore #88 for the aqua and orange!). I love the way you call a game, and I hope you will continue for years to come. Thank you, Dan, for being a part of this great game, and for being here in Miami for this tribute to Mad Dog.

    With great admiration,
    Ramesh Nyberg , aka “Phinphreak”
