Going into training camp, there were two offensive players on the Miami Dolphins reportedly dealing with injuries, and both were possible candidates for the Physically Unable To Perform list.
It turns out, they both will reportedly start training camp on that very list.
Per the NFL transaction wire and stated in several media reports, the first by Field Yates of ESPN, the Miami Dolphins have placed center Mike Pouncey and running back Knowshon Moreno on the PUP list.
Players placed on PUP today: Dolphins RB Knowshon Moreno, C Mike Pouncey, Bengals T Andrew Whitworth, Cowboys DE Anthony Spencer.

Being placed on the PUP list is a procedural move during the preseason, as a player can be activated and immediately begin practicing before the 53-man roster is finalized after the final preseason game. They do count on the 90-man active roster during training camp and the preseason. If a player remains on PUP going into the regular season, the player is required to miss the first six weeks of the regular season.
