After re-signing Brent Grimes before the free agency period began, the Miami Dolphins answered the question of who one of their starting corners would be in the 2014 season. But the question of who would play the other corner is still open, as the Fins released Dimitri Patterson and former Dolphins cornerback Nolan Carroll signed with the Philadelphia Eagles.
Despite the fact that Miami has two young corners under contract in Will Davis and Jamar Taylor, it was expected that the team could look to add depth to the position. And according to Albert Breer of NFL Network, the Dolphins are taking a look at adding a former Pro Bowl selection to the defensive backfield.
Per Breer, former St. Louis Rams and Tennessee Titans cornerback Cortland Finnegan will visit the Miami Dolphins tomorrow.

Last season, Finnegan, 30, only played in seven games, starting in five contests, due to injury. Before that, he played in all but three games the past seven seasons. Through eight seasons in the NFL, Finnegan has 601 combined tackles, seven sacks, 18 interceptions, four defensive touchdowns, and 78 passes defended. He made the Pro Bowl in 2008.
