Hartline Hoping For Hot Start
By on September 3, 2014 at 10:43 am

Starting fast in the NFL is always a good boost to any team’s season and quells any nerves right out of the gate by getting win #1 under a team’s belt.

Brian Hartline and the Miami Dolphins are looking for that hot start this year against the New England Patriots. Hartline had one of the best games of his career year with nine receptions, 114 yards receiving and a touchdown when the Dolphins defeated Cleveland, 23-10, in last season’s opener.

Yesterday on The Finsiders, Hartline joined the Greg Likens in an exclusive interview to talk about starting the season off right, and how playing against the Pats is the perfect way to begin the year.

“You put all that work in from April until now and to come out in your own stadium versus your division leader from the last decade, it’s awesome,” said Hartline. “You put so much work in, why not a better foe than the one that’s been sitting on top for the last ten years.”

Opening the season at home is a great advantage as well for Miami, as not only is it good to open up in front of the home fans, but that South Florida heat and humidity is unlike any other environment around.

“It’s going to be hot and humid for us, and hot and humid for them,” said Hartline. “Hopefully all this work we put in we will have somewhat of an advantage when it comes to that heat. But overall it comes down to football. No matter what position you’re in, you’re always geeked up for the first game…We’ll tune everything out, and play football.”
