Pro Football Talk has a rolled out its own Top 100 list, an answer to NFL Network’s oft-discussed “Top 100,” a list which ranks the league’s top players as voted on by fellow players, and the Dolphins have fared quite well.
Mike Pouncey and Mike Wallace made the first round of rankings released, ranking Nos. 91-92. Now, with the complete list being released, Cam Wake has joined the duo — the All-Pro defensive end comes in at No. 21.
Pro Football Talk solicited a panel of NFL media members and asked them to submit their list of the league’s top 50 players, with the votes then being compiled to form the final list.
Wake finished the 2012 season — his fourth in Miami — with a career-high 15 sacks. Though he finished ranked No. 89 on NFL Network’s list — an oversight to many — he cracked PFT’s Top 25, finishing the top defensive player in the AFC East and fourth in the AFC overall on the list.
