The Dolphins made a round of roster moves today, waiving five young players that had been in camp with the team, as guards Jeff Braun and Chandler Burden, in addition to DT Chris Burnette, LB Alonzo Highsmith and WR Kenny Stafford were all let go.
Following the moves, the team’s roster is now at 84 total players and the cuts aren’t done yet.
Like the other 31 teams, Miami will have to trim their 90-man preseason roster down to a maximum of 75 players by 4pm Tuesday at the latest. Following the final preseason game, the Dolphins have until next Saturday, August 31st, to get to the regular-season limit of 53 players on the active roster.
