REPORT: Randy Starks To Attend Mini-Camp
By on June 10, 2013 at 12:15 pm

Randy StarksWith a host of players reaching free agency, the Dolphins had a big decision to make this offseason on whom to place the franchise tag on, if they even wanted to use it. In a move to help achieve continuity — the Dolphins defensive line was a definite strength of the team in 2012 — the organization ended up choosing Randy Starks, the veteran defensive tackle.

Starks, seeking a long-term deal, did not participate in the voluntary portion of the team’s offseason workout program. But with the mandatory mini-camp being held starting on Tuesday, it appears that he will be back at the Doctors Hospital Training Facility this week.

According to the Miami Herald’s Adam Beasley, Starks will indeed be attending this week’s mini-camp.

Starks, 29, finished the 2012 season with 27 tackles, 4.5 tackles for loss and an interception, making his second Pro Bowl. (The other, in 2010, was also as a member of the Dolphins). He is entering his 10th NFL season — his sixth in Miami.
