The 28-year old Wheeler played the first four years of his NFL career in Indianapolis before signing a one-year contract with the Raiders in 2012.
With Oakland, he posted career-highs in tackles (109), sacks (3) and forced fumbles (2). He becomes the second LB reportedly added to the Dolphins today, along with former Raven Dannell Ellerbe.
