So the answer to the “Who do you start your franchise with” question tends to skew younger, because youth is a valuable — and invariable — commodity. Free of the typical wear and tear picked up after a handful of years in the league, a really good young player may be more valuable than an elite one on the wrong side of 30.
With that in mind, NFL.com’s Elliot Harrison put together his All-Under-25 team to honor the league’s best up and comers, and two Dolphins, center Mike Pouncey and safety Reshad Jones, made the list.
It hasn’t taken much time for Pouncey, who just completed his second NFL season, to become of the league’s top centers, controlling the middle of the Dolphins’ offensive line.
Jones, who finished the 2012 season with four interceptions and two forced fumbles, was also named to USA Today’s All-Joe team this week.
