By on March 5, 2013 at 9:33 am

brian-hartlineThe free agency period for the 2013 season begins at 4:00pm on Tuesday, March 12.

Here is a list of select Wide Receivers who can be unrestricted free agents at that time. These players can re-sign with their current teams at any time and can begin to negotiate with other teams beginning on March 9th.

Danny Amendola/Rams (5’11, 188): A foot injury limited Amendola to just 11 games in 2012, but he still managed to catch 63 passes for 666 yards and three touchdowns. In 2011, a dislocated elbow suffered in the season opener kept him out for the remainder of the season, though he played in all 16 games in 2010. The 27-year old was originally signed as an undrafted free agent out of Texas Tech in 2008 by the Cowboys.

Dwayne Bowe/Chiefs (6’2, 221): A Miami native, Bowe has gone past 1,000 receiving yards in three of his first six NFL seasons, most recently in 2011. The 28-year old had a breakout year in 2010, starting all 16 games, catching 72 passes for 1,162 yards and 15 touchdowns. Last year, Bowe caught 59 passes for 801 yards and three touchdowns on the 2-14 Chiefs, who drafted him in the first round out of LSU in 2007. *Bowe and the Chiefs agreed a five-year contract on Monday, 3/4.

Brian Hartline/Dolphins (6’2, 199): *Update- The Dolphins and Hartline agreed to a multi-year deal on Friday, 3/8. The Dolphins’ fourth round pick out of Ohio State in 2009, Hartline is coming off his best NFL season. In 2012, he had his first 1,000-yard receiving season (1,083) and also tallied a career-high 74 receptions (his previous high was 43 in 2010). In his four NFL seasons, he has caught six touchdowns and run for another. Also this year, Hartline had the greatest statistical day any Dolphin receiver has ever had in Week 4 at Arizona (12 catches, 253 yards and a touchdown).

Greg Jennings/Packers (5’11, 198): A two-time Pro Bowler in Green Bay, Jennings will turn 30 early in the 2013 season and is coming off a year in which he played in just eight games because of injury. That said, Jennings had three-straight 1,000-yard seasons from 2008-2010 and has caught 53 touchdowns in his seven-year career. A second round pick out of Western Michigan in 2006, Jennings has twice caught 12 TDs in a season (2007, 2010) and has caught at least four every year since his rookie season.

Mike Wallace/Steelers (6’0, 199): In his first four NFL seasons, Wallace has never caught less than six touchdowns and has twice gone over 1,000 yards in a season (2010, 2011). In 2012, Wallace caught 64 balls for 836 yards and eight touchdowns while starting 14 games for Pittsburgh. A third round pick out of Ole Miss in 2009, he was named to the Pro Bowl in 2011 and has only missed one regular season game in his four-year career. Listen to former Dolphins Sam Madison and Troy Drayton join Jesse Agler to discuss Mike Wallace on The Finsiders daily show.

Wes Welker/Patriots (5’9, 185): A five-time Pro Bowler, four-time All-Pro and three-time league receptions leader, Welker had his second straight and fifth-career 1,000 yard season in 2012. Since coming out of Texas Tech as an undrafted free agent in 2004, Welker has caught nearly 800 passes for 8,580 yards and 38 touchdowns, all but one of which came as a member of the Patriots.
