Dion Jordan To Make Rare Trip From Eugene To Miami
By on April 26, 2013 at 11:59 am

Dion-JordanWhen the Miami Dolphins selected DE Dion Jordan number-three overall last night, it was just the third time in franchise history that Miami drafted an Oregon Duck, but the second time in two years.

Last April, LB Josh Kaddu made the move from Euguene to Miami after he was taken in the fifth round and in 1973, the Dolphins used a second round pick to take center Chuck Bradley.

Once he appears in a game, Jordan will become the 11th Duck to have suited up in a Dolphin uniform <insert water-loving animal joke here>.

Jordan is also the first Oregon defensive player to be selected in the top-10 of an NFL Draft and the fifth to go in the first round. The last? Baltimore NT Haloti Ngata in 2006.

Jordan became the 10th defensive lineman the Dolphins have ever selected in round one, which is more than any other position.

I think he has a lot of potential, should be a good compliment to Cameron Wake.
