2014 NFL Draft To Be Held In May
By on May 28, 2013 at 12:02 pm

nfl-shieldAs the result of a scheduling conflict at Radio City Music Hall, the 2014 NFL Draft is moving from its familiar late-April date to the second week of May.

The NFL announced today that the 2014 Draft will be held May 8-10 and that no decisions have been made about 2015 and beyond.

The league also said that there will be no significant changes to the teams’ off-season schedules, including the Scouting Combine and the start of free agency.

The change in the date of the 2014 Draft will have no effect on when rookies may begin to report to their clubs, the dates of off-season programs, or the length of off-season programs. Clubs will have available to them the same number of practice days that they currently have and no changes in the off-season calendar are being considered that would reduce the number of practice days or the overall length of the off-season program.

Beyond 2014, the NFL said it would consider holding the Draft at another New York City location or even possibly in other cities around the country.

Has anyone noticed that the last 2 years, when it is time for the Dolphin’s pick, the NY Sports Media either goes to a commercial, or like this year goes on a complete discussion about the New York Junks? We didn’t even get to see Larry Little announce it. I think we should have Sports Media from other cities doing the coverage so someone besides Jets Fans will be handling it.
