On Tuesday, head coach Joe Philbin announced that the Dolphins will be the seventh NFL franchise to be featured on “Hard Knocks,” HBO’s reality documentary series that chronicles a team’s journey through training camp.
The series returns this year after a one-year hiatus caused by last summer’s NFL lockout. With a handful of teams declining the opportunity to participate and speculation building, Philbin’s announcement had the Twitterverse buzzing. Here’s some of the reaction from around the league:
When I met with Stephen Ross at lg meetings, Mia’s big word was “transparent.” Not stunning, then, to see Mia go “Hard Knocks.”

I hope HBO finds way to profile PR man Harvey Greene, a true character who “survived” thru Steinbrenner, Shula, Parcells, J. Johnson, Saban.

1 other first here would be that the Dolphins are the first team to host Hard Knocks on site, at their facility. HBO prefers off-site camp.
