Sources told the Miami Herald’s Barry Jackson that the Dolphins hosted free agents Gary Guyton and Bryan Kehl on Monday and that the meeting are expected to continue today.
Guyton, who played four years for the New England Patriots, started 32 games at linebacker after being undrafted out of Georgia Tech. Before seeing his playing time reduced towards the end of last season, Guyton recorded 47 tackles and added an interception for the AFC Champions.
During his brief career, Kehl has had fewer opportunities than Guyton, making just five career starts.
He spent the past two seasons with the St. Louis Rams after being drafted by the New York Giants in 2008.
Kehl and Guyton could be intriguing options because of their versatility; both have seen time at inside and outside linebacker during their careers. If either is added, there could be a potential competition with incumbent starting outside linebacker Koa Misi.
