Randy Starks added to AFC Pro Bowl Team

It was announced today that Dolphins defensive lineman Randy Starks has been added to the AFC’s Pro Bowl team, in place of Steelers lineman Brett Keisel, who is getting ready to play in Super Bowl XLV. It is the first Pro Bowl appearance for Starks, as he becomes the fourth Dolphin honored with a Pro Bowl selection this year, joining tackle Jake Long (who is not playing due to injury), LB Cameron Wake, and long-snapper John Denney.

Originally a third round draft choice of the Titans, Starks just completed his seventh NFL season and his third with the Dolphins. A starter in all 16 games this past season (15 at defensive end, one at nose tackle), Starks finished third on the team with three sacks and also registered 30 tackles, three pass breakups, and a fumble recovery.

The four Pro Bowl selections are the most for the Fins since 2003, when Zach Thomas, Pat Surtain, Brock Marion, and Adewale Ogunleye were all Hawaii-bound.
