as a kid I grew up looking forward to watching Dan Marino run on to the field. Couldn’t wait to see him drop back for the first time every game. I found myself looking forward to the same from 99. He has meant to the defense what 13 meant to the offense. You just knew, when someone needed to make a play, that 99 was going to make something happen, and even this season, he’s done that. Never has there been a more worthy candidate for a first ballot hall of famer worthy as JT. His work in the locker room, South Florida community and on the field inspired fans and players alike. It’s not going to be the same….. his number should be retired at the earliest opportunity. Even with the rough seasons he’s had to endure with this team, he’s always been a winner, on every play, and he made fans want to watch him. He gave Dolphins fans hope for all those years, and that’s irreplaceable.
