Kevin Burnett intercepted a Carson Palmer pass and ran it back for a touchdown–the first Dolphin to do so since Vontae Davis against Buffalo in 2009–to cap the Miami scoring, as the Fins did Jim Mandich proud on the day that the Mad Dog was put up in the team’s Honor Roll.
Matt Moore threw a 12-yard touchdown pass to Davone Bess and also ran one in from six yards, as he continued to perform at a high level. He finished his day 13-of-25 for 162 yards and the two TD’s.
On the other side, Palmer did all of his damage in garbage time, throwing two late touchdown passes to finish his day 20-41 for 273 yards with the two TDs and the pick-six.
The Raider rushing attack, spearheaded by Michael Bush, was near-silent, as he ran for just 18 yards on 10 carries as the Dolphins dominant rush-defense continued–they’ve not allowed a RB to run for a score since Week 4 at SD.
The Fins now get set to welcome the Philadelphia Eagles to Sun Life Stadium as the two 5-8 teams go head-to-head.
