Game Recap: Broncos 18, Dolphins 15 (OT)
By on October 23, 2011 at 4:59 pm

The Miami Dolphins completed one of the most heart-breaking collapses in franchise history today, as they fell in overtime to the Denver Broncos, 18-15.

The Fins had a 15-0 lead in the fourth quarter before a quick Broncos’ touchdown was followed by an onside kick recovery, another TD, and a two-point conversion attempt to tie the game with under 30 seconds to go.

In overtime, each team had the ball twice, but a Matt Moore fumble set the Broncos up in scoring position and kicker Matt Prater, who had earlier missed from 49 and 43 yards out, drilled home a 52-yard attempt to win the game.

Tim Tebow’s much discussed start looked like it was going to be a total bust–he had a QB rating in the 40’s in the final quarter–but the late Dolphins miscues allowed him to lead his team back and he finished the day with two passing touchdowns and allowed him to get his team back in the game.

On the other side, Moore completed 22-of-33 passes for 197 yards and a 16-yard TD pass to Anthony Fasano. Tebow finished 13-of-27 for 161 and the two scores while also rushing eight times for 65 yards.

The 0-6 Dolphins attempt to regroup as they head back on the road and back to the Meadowlands next week against the Giants.

  1. This team made some great strides this off-season. I like the coach, I love Tannehill. I’ll be going to a whole lot of Fins games this year! GO FINS!
