Game Preview: Dolphins at Giants, 10/30/11

Week 8

The Dolphins continue to look for win number-one here in 2011 as they return to the Meadowlands for the second time in three weeks. This time, though, they are not facing the division-rival Jets, but rather the Giants.

These teams do not get together all that frequently as this is just the seventh all-time meeting between the blue New York team and the Fins. The last time they got together, the Giants came away with a win in the first regular season NFL game outside of North America, a 13-10 win at Wembley Stadium in London. You have to go all the way back to 2003 for the last time these two teams faced off in Jersey, with the Dolphins defeating the Giants 23-10 in early October of that year.

For more on the Giants’ perspective, you can go Behind Enemy Lines and listen in on both Tom Coughlin and Eli Manning’s conference calls, plus hear interviews with CB Aaron Ross and with WFAN reporter Paul Dottino.

Meanwhile, there are several big injury stories–for both teams–coming into this one. Dolphins CB Vontae Davis is doubtful and on the Giants side, they hope to have their defensive pass rushers all healthy for the first time this season. For more, all you have to do is check out the full injury report for both teams.

As for what the Dolphins need to do to leave MetLife Stadium with a win, John Congemi does a great job giving you the three big keys to victory for the Fins. Additionally, we asked our analysts which Giants player they were most concerned about heading into this game. What do you think?
