Paul Adamaszek (Facebook): Keith, what do you expect out of [new offensive coordinator] Brian Daboll?
Keith Sims: I’m not entirely sure what to expect—none of us are, but here’s what I want: I want creativity. That doesn’t mean we have to be launching the ball down the field every other play, but I want him to take advantage of mis-matches. You’ve got a lot of different players with different talents on this roster—including the rookies like [Edmond] Gates, [Daniel] Thomas, and even [Charles] Clay. I think he [Daboll] has some pieces to the puzzle now and can use them to upset defenses and cause mis-matches. That’s what I want to see—I want to see creativity and I don’t want to see three yards and a cloud of dust. I want to see an offense that moves the ball different ways and goes up and down the field and scores touchdowns.
@Mau5_ (Twitter): Do you think Daniel Thomas has what it takes to make it?
Troy Drayton: I think he does. Bottom line is he has speed, he runs downhill, and he’s a tough runner between the tackles and guards. Plus, he’s a guy that can catch the ball out of the backfield. I definitely think he has what it takes to make it in the NFL.
Pamela Cairns & Brian Bubenheimer (Facebook): Do you think the addition of Mike Pouncey is what the o-line needed?
Keith Sims: That’s a great question. Yes, yes it was. We needed a definite injection of talent on the interior of that offensive line. We can debate forever whether it was worth the 15th pick or not, but you cannot argue with Mike’s ability and what he showed in college. You really do expect it all to translate to success for many years to come in the NFL. So, yes, it was a much-needed injection of talent AND mobility to this offensive line.
@johnnytice (Twitter): Do you think Vince Young would be a good option at quarterback?
Troy Drayton: I think he can be. I think Vince is a good athlete. I also think that the older he gets, the more he understands what it takes to be that type of NFL quarterback. I think with his athleticism, the way he throws the ball, and the way that he leads—he has a charisma about him that I really like and a leadership quality that I think is infectious—I think that could be a shot in the arm for this organization if he came down here.
