On this day to give thanks, we figured it would be nice to step aside from football for a half-moment and tell everyone what we’re thankful for. Of course, with this group, a lot of what we’re thankful for seems to have something to do with football, so this really isn’t all that much of a departure.
Regardless, we wish everyone a very happy and safe Thanksgiving and would like to say thank YOU for coming to the site and listening to and watching the show…
What I’m thankful for…
The Miami Dolphins could be in worse shape than they look right now. But thanks to a few guys that lay it all on the line every week, we as DolFans have plenty of things to be thankful for. Thankful for Yeremiah Bell and Karlos Dansby, the guys that lead this team in tackles and forced fumbles. Thankful for Dan Carpenter, who leads this team in scoring. (Yes a kicker!) Most of all, I am thankful for Cameron Wake’s high motor and pass rushing skills. A young, fun loving guy who brings his lunch pale everyday and it shows.
I am thankful that the team I cover seems to be a resilient group of men, willing to stay together and work when things aren’t as rosy as they would like them to be. There is no better kind of football team than a tough football team!
There are many things I am thankful for this year: a new baseball stadium for the Marlins (no more infield!), the fact that there will be no undefeated team this year, and of course that the Jets are NOT number one on Jesse’s Power Rankings! I am also thankful for unanswered prayers: Randy Moss!
Chocolate cake, turkey, whipped cream, turkey, the Lions always losing, and turkey!
Not to rub it in, but I’ve got to say that I am very thankful to have a job that allows me to sit around and talk about and write about football all day. What could be bad? Nothing. Except the smell of the Fintern.
So that’s what we’re all thankful for, what about you? Let us know in the comments and once again, HAPPY THANKSGIVING!!
