Ronnie Ready to Carry the Load
By on November 17, 2010 at 7:00 am

The Dolphins offense has been knocked back a bit with injuries to both Chad Pennington and Chad Henne, but it only means that some other veterans will need to step up and carry the load the rest of the season.

Veterans like tight end Anthony Fasano who just signed a contract extension coming off a career-best 107 receiving yards against the Titans on Sunday.  The last Dolphins tight end to hit the century mark in receiving yards was Randy McMichael back in 2003.

Ricky Williams and Ronnie Brown will both need to literally carry the load by pounding out positive yardage on the ground.  In Ronnie’s only previous game against Chicago he carved up the Bears defense for 157 yards.  The last time the Bears were in town back in December of 2002 Ricky became the first player in 22 seasons to post back-to-back 200-yard rushing games with 216 yards and 2 touchdowns.

Ronnie met with the media to discuss the offense’s adjustment with Tyler Thigpen behind center, how he and the rest of his teammates need to step up and handle their business, and how the Bears defense does a good job of being disciplined and opportunistic.
