On this day before Thanksgiving, Dolphins coach Tony Sparano spent a few minutes with the media as the team continued their preparation for Sunday’s game at Oakland. Beginning with injury news, Sparano said that QB Chad Henne was limited in practice today, but participated a good amount. Same goes for center Joe Berger. On the other hand, receiver Brandon Marshall was absent with the hamstring and Sparano said that “he’s doing well” but that the whole thing is going slower than anyone wants it to. He said that even if Marshall were able to play in Oakland, he would be more limited and that you can’t run him out there for 65 plays. Other notes:

-The only thing Sparano said about whether Henne or Tyler Thigpen would start was that  “we’ll see.”

-Defensively, the Raiders play up in your face and man-to-man most of the time, Sparano said, and so whether or not Marshall is able to play, he expects to see plenty of guys in the box trying to clog up the running game.

-Sparano said that he bent his rule on players on injured reserve being on the sideline for Chad Pennington against the Bears but that a decision had not yet been made about whether or not he would travel to Oakland with the team.

UPDATE: Here are video highlights to see the coach talk about getting both QB’s ready for Sunday and his assessment of what’s gone wrong with the running game:
